Ubuntu 9.10 Post Installation Problem

Hi there,

I am new for Ubuntu 9.10, i downloaded the ISO from the server and i tried to install Ubuntu Desktop 9.10. The installation was successful, but after finishing all the steps, i tried to login, its hanging from the first login.

Each time i am trying to restart the system, after the login, the system becomes dead.(display is there but no response).

I tried in all the systems i have, all are producing same problem.

Please help me.

I have P4 3GHZ, 80GB HDD, 512 MB DDR2 RAM.

I was using Ubuntu 9.04, it was going smooth.
