I was watchign a series on tv the other night called UK BORDER PATROL, it follows a day in the life of UK agents working the Chunnel and airports.
Now i know there are a LOT of inidans in the UK and Europe in general but had no idea of the number of Afghans trying to enter the UK.
They stopped 19,000 last year alone, STOPPED, that’s not the ones who got through, just the ones caught. They are just told to turn around and go home, in most cases. They stow away in trucks entering teh UK from France through teh chunnel and 90% of them are Afghans lookign for a enw life in England as they say it has more opportunity for them.
Many are in France on a temporary visa then they head to the UK where they can get a longer Visa or just disappear into eth woodword. They busted 17 afghans in two trucks on teh same day, and that’s just a smidgen of the true numbers. They also raided several car washes in England where they were working illegally, they fined the owners several thousand (who pay up) and the illegal aliens, who aren’t expected to pay a dime.
I just had no idea that the influx of illegal immigrants trying to enter England was this bad, it’s alsmot as if every other truck entering England has illegal aliens from Afghanistan hidden in it.
There are also countless visa scams for students. most are for universitie sthat simply don’t exist, the obrder patrols are aware of these scam universities but new ones are created all the time.
Apprently the number has risen since private contractors took over inspections of trucks in France. Teh UK partols were using som ereally cool tools to find them stashed away in trucks, Co2 sensors to sense teh amount of oxygen, high CO2 levels indicate people breathing the air in teh rear of teh truck. They use hearteat sensors, X-Ray and thermal imaging etc. Really cool show actually.
The funny part is how calmly they are handled, they are rounded up, spoken to quite nicely by smiling border guards and then simply pointed back into France. Thye offer little resitance smile back and go on their way.
One guy was stopped twice in two days, just kept tryign again to get in and, who knows, maybe he did make it by now.
