Virtualisation Specifications

Hi there,

Do the specs for the VM Host OS have to be high?

Like for example would it be better to run a small light version of an OS as the VM Host and then use more resources for my VM Guets or Have a complete and full OS running as VM Host and have light OS VM Guests?

the basic question would be, whether or not each client has to go through the host first before they get to the real resources, which would then mean the specs would have to be quite high, much higher than the Guests.
