Visual C++ Runtime Library error

by snake_eater_84 . Updated 19 years ago

Hi guys…

I have tried almost every forum that I can possible think of for this question, yet no one can other good enough information…

I can’t really see that you discuss game related problems, but as some of you seem experienced enough in what you do, you might find the problem which is causing me so much bother! I honestly doubt its something to do with the game, maybe something conflicting, or missing.

Anyway…

I have a game called Pro Evolution Soccer 2008. I have installed the game fine, without any problems. Although as soon as I load the game up it encounters Visual C++ Runtime Library Error.

I have formatted my computer and I’m pretty sure that everything is up to date, driver wise. I’ve tried searching everywhere for a solution, but haven’t got very far.

I have even contacted the game developer, but its highly doubtful that they will reply to my email, as they haven’t done in the past with other people.

My system specs are…

XP Home SP2
Asus A8N-SLI Premium
1GB Corsair Pro
8800GTX 768mb

Now… Here is the errors that I encounter.

When I go to load the game up I get the following error…

Then the game closes.

I then ran “eventvwr” and found the application error…

When I click on the link inside that window, I get a new window with the following information…

EventID- 1000
File Name- faultrep.dll
File Version- 5.1.2600.2180
Product Name- Microsoft Windows Operating System
Product Version- 5.1.2600.2180
Source- Application Error
Time- 19:25:13
Type- Error

If it would help, I can post the information I got from running “DXDIAG”

Thanks again…
