What does hide from address list do?

I did some reasearch on the attributes “showinaddressbook” and “msexchiddenfromaddresslist”. I found that “showinaddressbook” is used for name resolution and to find user in gal. What is the function of “msexchidefromaddresslist” then? What does it do that “showinaddressbook” does not? Thanks for any input.
