First of all, without discussing the objectives and goals themselves, I have to say that his speechwriter is really good and his presence, charisma and oration is superb. Obama knows how to speak.
Some things I did notice, he was efficient at setting up McCains counter arguments, and trying to negate their importance. He sounded like a televangelist near the end of his speech, really thought he was gonna HEEEEEEAL a few blind kids at one ‘point-uh’. His rhythm and delivery is absolutely phenominal, the guy is a born public speaker, very well delivered.
Okay, he doesn’t offer any specifics, just that things will change. But then again, how much inside information is he privvy to to even make definitive judgements at this time anyway, he says he will carefully review and adjust as needed ? Okaaaaaay.
Looking at various sites around the world, people are applauding him and begging Americans to vote for him. Most people agree that he may not be the best choice for many internal issues, but he is at least a breath of fresh air for a world stifled and stunned by the 8 years of Bush.
It will be insteresting to see what McCain has to say, I don’t see him as being quite as stupid as Bush, he is far less laid back than Obama (Who feeds on promoting himself as a ‘normal guy’) but seems very matter of fact and to the point, which could be good also except that Bush has made that midset appear to be unyeilding in a time where debate and discussion is needed.
Either way, I just hope that America can become America once again and that this horrible country the rest of the world has been faced with for the last 8 years can actually shine once again. May you all live more prosperous and less restrictive lives without your assumed pride and freedoms simply being a laughing matter for others.
You have a great nation that offered great opportunity for its citizens, which is still full of great people, but unfortunately it has been split up, spit upon and become a laughing stock.
No matter who is elected I just hope taht America can be America again, I sure did like the US before and sure have grown to dislike it these days.
>>EDITED due to incoplete sentence being misleading:<<
If you hear from people in Iraq, their key question is "why didn't the USA leave us alone? We were just fine without you". In Agfhanistan it is "Why did America leave us without doing what they promised us? We need more help to get our water wells and buildings repaired again"
Well with Iraq's oil rich nation, perhaps they SHOULD fund and take care of themselves for a change, then the rest of the world can focus on terrorism, AlQaeda specifically, and rebuilding much needed alliances that have been abused for 8 years now.
good luck!
