What percentage of your org’s budget is given to IT?

I’m curious to see what percentage of your organization’s budget gets earmarked for IT. Or do you even have an IT budget? Is it lumped into the facilities budget?

I’ll go first.

I work in a rather interesting place that would best fit the description of an educational institution, but it’s not a school. We’ve got a little bit of everything going on. The IT department gets a little more than 3% of a 20-something million dollar budget. (I can’t remember the exact numbers)

What’s your budget? Do you even have a budget; “I don’t get no respect!”
