What’s wrong with my DVD Writer

I’ve recently restored my Windows XP Pro but since then I havent been able to write a DVD it will get half way then say write failed, I’ve tried with my Internal burner and my USB Burner I’ve updated all my drivers and the firmware on my DVD burner and I’m using the same DVDs that I always use. I’ve never had problems before. Anyone has any ideas.
