When your ISP/Web host fails

I discovered much to my surprise that my company’s Web host (PSN.net) is “no longer offering services”.

I have a lot of questions for them, but for the discussion:

Does anyone know what is going on with PSN.net?; and

For those that have suffered through an ISP failure, is it unusual for the customers to receive no notice until they find their Web site is down?

At the very least, they have everyone’s e-mail address and it seems to me that they have a duty to let people know they willbe closing.

Any thoughts?
