where are .pst files stored

I want to move a new users .pst files to a drive mapping for backup purposes. I have tried to find them by following the auto archive default path, but the relevant folder seems to be missing. I know when the .pst file is moved Outlook prompts for a new target which can then be mapped to a drive which is mapped to my server.
