Which fonts work best for both Android and iOS applications

I’m working on a mobile app and trying to choose a font that looks good on both Android and iOS. I know each platform has its own default fonts, but I’m wondering whether it’s better to use system fonts or go with a custom font like Roboto, Inter, or Open Sans.

What has worked best for you? Are there any fonts that look consistent and remain easy to read across both platforms?
