Why post same answers to problem?

by rogueldr . Updated 25 years, 10 months ago

I am relatively new to Tech Republic but I notice something that is very odd. While answering questions in the Technical Q&A area I notice people reposting an answer that someone else has already posted. Each reply has a date and time on it. I can understand seeing this happen if two replys are within 30 minutes of each other because sometimes I answer questions at work and I may get a phone call or whatever. But it is very discouraging when I see 12 hours difference in the replys or even daysbetween replys. I try to read all new questions. If I agree with what someone else has said then I don’t reply. If I agree but have more information to offer I give credit to who deserves it and add my info. What benefit is it, other then wasting time to repost in your own words what someone else has already said? Does anyone else see this as a problem or am I just nitpicking? I apologize if this question has been asked before I was a member here and it has already been discussed.
