Win XP / Ghost / sysprep Cloning Win XP

by michael.grace . Updated 18 years, 5 months ago

We have leased 200 PCs from Dell and I am ready ( I thought ) to roll them with a standard Windows XP image out using Ghost and sysprep. I did this about two years ago with Win 2000 and it went well. No I am having the following problems. Since the licenses I hold for XP were issued from Dell (not a volume license product key ) there seems to be a limit to how many times I can use sysprep. I rolled out the image to a test group and I have made changes to the image a few times over the last 2 months or so. Last few times I used sysprep I get the following error ?Your grace period limit has been reached and will not be reset?. I have since pulled the image down and used sysprep to copy it back up to the server a few times and it seems to work. I?m I setting myself up for problems in the future. I guess I don?t really understand that message. Can someone explain?
