This used to bug me good untill i got my Matrox G400-dual head video card to do its save postion thingy to do what windows should be able to on its own.

Desktop icons will not reset to their shutdown positions, when I reboot the positions are stuck in this pattern. ASIF
arrange icons is set to ‘by type’.
a screenshot would show best..I’ll attempt to describe it. Rightmost column is where the leftmost ‘should be’ and staggered down the row…..the rest of the icons are in clean rows yet start on leftmost side. I’ve done many things per suggestions from other groups to fix this…MicroSoft doesn’t respond to this error..I’ve done whats in their database….deleted iconcache increased the total cache all the normal fixes….any ideas out there?
