Windows Secondary IP only works with IP within same VLAN?

by targotargo . Updated 19 years, 3 months ago

Hello….

As subject. Inside “Advance TCP/IP settings” of Windows, we can add additional IP addresses and gateway. Will it work if the IP is in a different vlan. (i.e. Primary IP 10.1.1.10/24 VLAN1 and Secondary IP 10.1.10.99/24)

I don’t want to upgrade the Intel NIC driver and use the NIC tool to enable VLAN interface.

Thanks
Targo
