Windows XP doesn’t fully recognize external HD

Alright fellas, so here’s the deal:

I’ve recently acquired an external HD that is said to be 160 GBs. This is the model – http://www.lacie.com/products/product.htm?pid=10868

I’ve all the proper steps to configure this external drive (as far as I know ;P) – used disk management to setup, etc. The problem is that the drive is only being recognized as the exact same size as my internal harddrive (this is a laptop) – 37.25 GBs.

I don’t know what to do about it, google returns nothing no matter how I try to word it, and error-checking the drive didn’t give me any results.

Help?
