Word 2000 Hangs

I have a user that is on a Windows ME machine and when she trys to use Word 2000 it hangs at the splash screen-If it is left alone it will eventually give a error of resources to low. I have removed Office 2000 and reinstalled it and tryed to do a repair. But nothing seems to work.
