I recently bought Office Accounting 2007, OA, and downloaded a trial version on Office Pro 2007 on a Vista native laptop. I am testing out the customization possibilities before I upgrade from Office Pro 2003.
When I attempt to modify word templates, such as a sales order, through OA?s Word Template Manager, the Word document opens without the Document Actions sidebar. It is my understanding that in this sidebar, I will find the user-defined fields I created in OA, which I can then drag, drop and save into my word template.
When I found the Document Actions button in the Toolbar Customization View Tab, I added it to the Ribbon, but found the button grayed out when I returned to the document.
When I tried to add, update, the Schema through Word Templates and Add/Ins, I get an error message:
?One or more schemas you have selected cannot be used in this document. A schema may not be available, may not be valid, or may require additional schemas in order to function correctly.?
This error message only offers a detail which states that there is no additional information.
When I try to add the one available XML expansion pack offered, a smart document, which from the title appears to be appropriate, I get an error message:
?The XML expansion pack is invalid.?
There are no additional options attached to this error message.
From the Developer Tab, I am able to see the XML structure of the document in a sidebar, but my user defined fields are not listed.
Anyone have any idea as to what the problem may be?
Thanks.
