Yahoo POP3 mail and Outlook 2003

I am trying to set up personal outlook account from home and i cannot route my yahoo mail to outlook 2003. i have followed all the steps to set up the account closely and precisely. Now when i open outlook, my password screen continues to pop up asking for username and password. my mail is not sending or recieving.
