You could use a third party utility that’ll allow you to bypass (in most cases) the process of ping the ports and having to setup the routers and modems for RDC. Such as Crossloop, FTPfrog, LogMeIn, or UltraTight VNC but only if you okay this with your network administrator (if you have one). If you have a network administrator they should already have vnc connection setup for this purpose, then go to them. Use only the third-party utilities if you need a quick, easy solution but its not the best solution to use but if its only once in a while you need to do this process then this is probably your best solution.
