16 meg RAMdrive in W98SE

by jim phelps . Updated 23 years ago

How do you set up a RAM drive in Windows 98 SE? I have 80 megs of RAM, and so I tried to set up a 16 meg RAM drive, leaving 64 megs of RAM for normal use. Said there was insufficient memory. I brought it down to 4 megs, same thing. I put /e on the command line, so that it would use extended memory. It seemed to work, but then when I went into Windows, lots of stuff was missing. The only way I could get it to work was to use the default value, which was 64K (not nearly enough space).

Any ideas?
