1st time Terminal Server User

I am setting up our new POS software in 2 offices and they recommend that I used Terminal Server to connect the 2. I hvae never set it up before. Both offices are on high speed wireless connections. Do I need to obtain Static IP’s from my ISP? I am buying a book…but you guys are way better!
