Here’s my issue, I have a Windows XP with 2 network cards that connect to two different networks.
The first is a dedicated T-1 line on a 172.17.100.xxx network with a default gateway of 172.17.100.1. The data flows across this original connection perfectly.
The second (172.16.100.60 with a default gateway of 172.16.100.58)is connected to a device that sends the information via satellite communication. I can ping this second network card but am not able to map a network drive or connect to the SQL Server 2005 on the PC. I have turned on the remote connectivity on SQL Server 2005.
I have been considering using XP Pro network Bridge but am not certian if that will solve my problem. The data on the SQL Server is of very high importance.
