2003 print server hanging

by scottthetech . Updated 18 years, 4 months ago

I have a W2K3 server that is set up as a print server. Multiple times during the day, print jobs hang on a couple of printers, there are about 20 networked laser printers installed. The jobs can not be deleted out of the print queue unless I stop the spooler, and remove all the files listed in %systemroot%/system32/spool/printers, then restart the spooler. I have updated the server to SP2, run all the updates possible, but it keeps hanging. I know I am running low on disk space, only 1.25GB free on the C:, but I have cleared everything I can out of it. there was only 10GB to begin with (I didn’t set this server up!) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
