2003 server

Hi,

I have got a strange problem with my 2003 server. My server is a standalone server. it’s basically a webserver and a mailserver, No AD installed. When i try to access other computers on the workgroup it gives me an error saying i do not have sufficient permission. But when i try connecting to the computer with a particular shared folder it lets me browse it. For example it gives me a permission error when i try to connect to \\xyz but when i try \\xyz\shared_folder_name it lets me in.

What could be the problem? The shared folder on the workgroup computers have fullaccess to everyone.

Can anyone suggest what needs to be done to resolve this problem?
