2.4 ghz Wireless

I’m looking at a Panasonic Gigarange extreme phone that uses a 2.4 GHz Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) frequecy range. Wouldn’t this interfere with most LAN wireless access points? I was just looking at both Netgear and D-Link WAP’s, and they use the same frequency range and DSSS technology.
