2k server within nt4 domain

i have a nt4 server domain already established amongst several different sites. i wanted to add a few more windows 2000 server boxes to this domain but now encountered a login script issue for any users located locally within the new windows 2000 lan. windows 2000 was setup as a member server and added to the nt4 domain. nt 4 is the pdc.
how would i go about mixing this environment while mantaining functionality at each site?
I need each workstation to access the locally located windows 2000 server to run a login script (corporate antivirus updates, network shares etc etc) and still maintain full functionality with the nt4 servers?
am i asking for too much?
