3Com OfficeConnect Switch

I recently bought a 3Com officeConnect switch dual speed 10/100 and connected it to my network. To my surprise the Novell server running 4.11 cannot talk to switch. It keeps on connecting and disconnecting. It is working well on NT 4.0. What changes do I need to make for Novell to talk to the switch? The model of the switch is 3C16735B.
