5 to 10min log-in delay with log-in script

by adelhier . Updated 22 years, 8 months ago

I am having a very weird and odd problems with some but not all of my clients when they log in.

I have a lab that has over 12 classes that meet over a week. I made each class there own OU so I could have each class log in with there own log in script to mount there class room working directories. Now almost ever OU can log in fine but some will have this log in delay.

This is the symptoms:

User logs in and it possess there user setting and all. Then it goes to the background image and stalls there and it stalls so bad I can not even CTRL+ALT+DELETE at all (I can move the mouse). The only way to get around it is to ether let it finish (it takes it about 5 to 10 minutes to log in) or reboot the system with the rest button.

Now what is funny is it only happens on some systems in the lap not all of them but most. This is totally baffling me. I had to remove the log in script in the group policies I made for each of those OU that have the problems. Also I checked the event viewer and every thing is fine on the client and on the server.

Please if any one can help.
Andy
