52.01 error on HP 5Si NX printer

I am working on a 5Si NX not covered by HP warranty.
I am told by owners that problem existed from first day, but no one followed up the error (happy to be printing).
I can not call Hewlett Packard from site.

Error 52.01 cold-startup.

Lens and photo assembly clean and properly seated.
Power off then on, removes error and unit prints normally, copies are clear and without any sort of distortion.

I installed maintenance kit.

Error 52.01 persist @cold start.
Error “personality or jam cause” list (point to) PCL.
PCL menu has only one setting, which I don’t know how to change.

? What could be reason for this error?
