a/d lab environment student login – mandatory profiles

by khiggins1979 . Updated 15 years, 8 months ago

Hi,
I manage 6 open labs at a community college who has recently implemented MS ILM (Identity Life Manager) to create a/d accounts for all of our students (130k domain accounts). Previously, we set local accounts and locked the computers with local policy. Now, I am interested in finding how to set up my labs such that students can login with their domain credentials but not load unique profiles (mandatory profiles). However, I do not want the mandatory profiles to be bound to the user, but the machines – The students need to be able to login to other labs without pulling my mandatory profile. I can not find any specific support for this configuration in group policy. Any advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Kevin
