Hello,

The next couple of posts will be the intern’s first thoughts about Ubuntu, Mandriva, OpenSuse, Knoppix and SimplyMepis.
The PC used was a ThinkPad T43 with 1GB of RAM. My only real firm requirements for the exercise was that he use the same PC, and spend about the same amount of time (approx. 1-2 hours) using each distro. Other than that, I told him to ‘try to do what you typically do’. EDIT: I should also note that the latest “full/complete” versions are what he decided to test.
Due to funding to the intern program (it is run through the city) getting slashed, I didn’t have as much time for this as I would have liked.
