A+ Certification

I am currently pursuing my A+ Certification. I don’t know exactly what I can do with it, but I am a recent college grad (Marketing major) who wants a career in IT.

Can I do anything more than helpdesk. I was told that I would need my A+ Certification before I could pursue other IT certifications.

Any suggestions or comments?
