I am trying to set up a new system with win2k and an Abit BD7II-RAID motherboard. After preforming a clean OS install without issues, I tried to load the Intel Chipset Drivers from CD that came from ABIT as per the manual instructions. The installation % bar get to 100% OK. I should then see a screen asking if I want to restart my system. AS it attemtps to bring up this screen, My system resets and reboots. Upon reboot I have corrupt drivers and can’t boot. I then have to start over with a format of the drive’s C: partition and another clean install of win2k. This has been a nightmare as I have started over numerous times because of issues getting a soundblaster live platinum ot work on this system. I finally gave that up and went with allthe onboard sound/game/midi features enabled. This is when this new problem began. Help! Anybody know what is causing this or if these Intel Chipset Drivers are really required.
