Access disconnected from SQL server

Today I went to change stuff in my SQL 7 database (on a faraway server) using Access 2000, as I’ve done many times before. My datalink properties seem to be the same as ever, and the ‘test connection’ button says the connection is successful.
The database window says it’s disconnected, and I’m buggered if I can figure out why.
Where have I failed?
