Access Memo via an .asp script

I have been working on an asp page for our intranet that grabs data from an Access database. One of the fields that I want to display is an Access 97 memo field. For some reason the field’s contents don’t show when I list out the data. However when I change it to a text field it shows up. What am I unaware of?
