Access SQL Server Database Through VPN

Dear sir
i am using Fortigate FortiClient Software to connect my Head Office in LA with Remote dekstop connection (RDP). There are SQL server In our Head office,LA. can i access the data of this SQL server from india .? Pls help me how can i do.
