Access violation

I recently installed the latest Microsoft service packs and patches for Windows 2000 and Office 2000. Several of the workstations are now getting the following Windows 2000 error when opening Word Perfect 2000 and when closing MS Office Word 2000. “Winword.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows” and the error log has the following error “Application error occurred Exception number C0000005 (access violation)”. I checked MS knowledgebase and tried some of the work arounds for this problem such as changing the properties on the Security tab of the file Oleaut32.dll and deleting the following registry key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Word\Data.
Both of these solutions did not work. The error happensin Word when closing and the error happens when opening Word Perfect.
