accessing internet on WIN XP

in my PC, i am not able to access internet on WIN XP. Server is able to assign IP address to my PC,but when i try to open any site on explorer it gives an error saying “IE can not open the search page”.I think there is some setting issue.
here is the configuration details:

network card:: Pro100
DHCP enabled.
DNS automatic
Net connection: Reliance Wimax

Can anybody please suggest me what could be the problem?
On the same PC my internet is running good on Linux OS.
