Account expiration notification??

We are trying to set something up so that when a user’s account is within say 5 days of expiration, then a window pops up and tells the user that, and possibly tells them why. Is there anything built into Windows that can do this, maybe some kind of GPO or some option in Active Directory? Anyone know of any scripts that can do this? Thanks for any help…
