Acer C310P

i am trying to get my acer c310p scanner to operate under windows 2000 server. I have downloaded the drivers from acer, and followed their pathetic instructions, howver i still cannot get it to find the scanner which is attached and is working (under win98) …has anybody got this scanner working under w2k and if so how???
