I have a CUV4X motherboard. It worked perfectly since the first day I bought it. But until recently, after I installed WINDOWS XP PRO. It worked fine at first for like two weeks and suddenly one day, the computer shuted off by itself, and when i booted the computer back up again, an error came up when it tried to load windows. The error was something like this: THE BIOS OF THIS COMPUTER IS NOT FULLY COMPLAINT WITH THE ACPI SPECIFICATIONS. PLEASE OBTAIN AN UPDATE FOR YOUR BIOS FROM YOUR MOTHERBOARD COMPANY…I did just that. After I updated the bios to the most recently version, I still recieved the same error message. So I figured it must be WINDOWS XP. I uninstalled the os and try to install Windows 98se and windows 2000. Unfortunately, I still recieve the same error. Please reply and let me know what might be the problem. THANK YOU!
