hey, please can any one help me to solve this issue, i’ve configured win 2003 on both of my machines. both server domains is xyz.com
one is Running as exchange server. And 2ndly running as primary domain controller for login access.
now i have another win 2003 server.that 3rd server i want to configure as Backup domain controller for exchange server.as well i’ve installed zone-Alarm in exchange server.
finally whenever i try to join my 3rd server as backup of domain controller. i am not able to join it. it gives me error message that,
active directory installation wizard, an active directory domain controller for the domain xyz.com could not be contacted. Ensure the dns name is typed correctly.
i have checked manytime, and have given the exact ip address in 3rd server DNS.as well i’ve entered manually in hosts file. i am able to ping and resolve the ip for xyz.com on 3rd server.
but not able to join 3rd server as backup domain controller ?
can anyone help me how to resolve this issue. or may be it’s problem with zone-Alarm ?
