I have Small Business Server 2003 SP2 at home with WSUS 3.0 installed. Before I installed it I decided to mess around with the hisecdc.inf security template. I then installed WSUS 3.0 and no computers are contacting the WSUS server even the computer which has it installed.
I am not sure if configuring the computer with the hisecdc.inf template is at fault but I have tried nearly everything. I even used the wuauclt.exe /resetauthorization /detectnow and still no computers contact the server. Assigning of the WSUS to the computers is done through a GPO linked to the domain and its propagated to the computers because I ran gpresult and it shows the GPO linked. Also open up Automatic Updates and its grayed out and says its controlled by group policy.
Anybody have ideas what could be wrong and should I even be looking at the hisecdc.inf template and not something else.
