AD passwords and Macs

All, we recently upgraded our domain to a server 2003 environment. What we have noticed is that domain group policy for passswords appears to override AD settings for OU’s of Mac user profiles. In other words, our Mac users have to change their domain password as decribed in GP eventhough the AD account has the account set to password never expires. Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.
