Adaptec 29160LP

I have a BackupExec v 11D installed on a Micro 2003 server; An Adaptec 29160LP is the interface. In the Device Manager SCSI entry, the tape deck is reported as an “Unknown”. The BackupExec support says that I must turn off the Raid functionality. Question: Does any know how to do this?
