add remove program issue

I am running windows server 2003 service pack 1. I have multiple entries in add remove programs for the same program. (The sppecific program is listed 7 times.) If i go into the registry the program is not listed at all. This is happening with a couple programs. I have run multiple virus and spyware programs, with no fix. I have tried to install service pack 2 but it goes through 60% on the install and says a pile is corrupted and service pack with no uninstall.
