Hi, Can anybody help me out with my problem explained below??
I have 2 separate networks being separated by a router (10.195.0.0/22 and 10.196.101.0/24).We have used all available IP’s on one network ( that is 10.196.101.0/24)and i want to add a secondary IP(that is 10.196.201.0/24) to the same interface to expand the network. Now when i do that i cannot ping a device with an IP on the 10.196.201.0 network but i can only ping the gateway which is 10.196.201.254. I also i have access list on the 10.196.101.0 router, therefore a machine on 10.195.0.0/22 can only get into 10.196.101.0/24 network by granting that IP access using cisco’s access lists control.
Kindly help me as after adding the secondary IP which is 10.196.201.254/24 to the same interface which has 10.196.101.254/24 IP address there is no communication between 10.196.101.0/24 and 10.196.201.0/24 networks.
