Adding new Vista workstation to XP network.

I am new to Vista. I need to add my Vista workstation to my Windows SBS Server 2003 network on the domain. All network computers currently have Windows XP. I know you have to change the workgroup name etc and download LLTD. Do you join them to the domain after changing the workgroup names? What is the process, steps, etc? Thanks.
