Adding XP machine to an existing network

by internetranking . Updated 16 years, 9 months ago

The network is Windows 2003 server with a Domain Controller, DHCP, and using DNS.

I am adding a XP client to the network and it is able to map drives located on the server and has a listing in both DHCP and DNS. The system would appear that it is working fine but is unable to browse the Entire network. It does not matter if I am logged on as admin or another user that has the abilty to browse the entire network. If I logon to another client machine I am able to browse the network successfully.

I am not sure why I am able to map drives but it appears that it is not part of the network.

Any suggestions on things to test or configurations to look at? I am new to AD but comparing the settings to other clients that have been successfully operating on this configuration for a long time appear to the same.
